In the first half of this year, the industrial added value of textile enterprises above designated size in Fujian Province increased by 11.4% year-on-year, 4.6 percentage points higher than the national counterparts. The above-scale enterprises realized a total income of 103.662 billion yuan, a year-on-year increase of 7.7%, which was 2.3 percentage points higher than that of the same industry in the country; the total profit was 11.3 billion yuan, a year-on-year increase of 12.9%, which was 3.5 percentage points higher than the national same industry.

 

In the face of global textile overcapacity, reduced domestic and international market demand, and increasing labor costs and difficulties in recruiting workers, the textile industry, as a representative of labor-intensive industries, has encountered bottlenecks in development. In this regard, Fujian Province actively followed up the "Industry 4.0" and "Made in China 2025" strategies, introduced preferential policies to encourage enterprises to deploy new automation equipment, and implemented the "machine substitution" technical transformation project to make the production process intelligent and become An important weapon for the transformation and upgrading of textile enterprises.
